First day full day

Ok, as to the stop smoking thing. I’m off to a good start. I am a day late in starting. Simply because I had half a pack left yesterday, and I was to week to let it got to waste. Sounds like a lame excuse, and you would be right.

One other strange thing I didn’t even think would be a problem. I stopped at QT to get an Ice cream for Emily. When I got to the cashier I asked for a pack of reds. It wasn’t until I got home that I had realized what I had done. I guess it just go to show my habit is very strong. I threw them in my desk draw. I guess I could take them back. But then it could serve as a good reminder.

My writing has truly picked up in intensity. Although I’m finding it hard to keep a good train of thought for long periods of time. My brain is jumping around like a jack rabbit. Mainly Marlboros are on my mind, I’m sorry to reveal.

I have written about 500 words on my short story so far today. My goal is 1500 for the day. I want to get another 2 or 3 chapters done on my hosting book. I know I have not reviled anything about these projects yet on my blog. But I most assuredly will at some point.

One of the blogs I have been reading recently is by Simon Haynes He had an interesting post today about overcoming writers block. He also has some great articles on writing on his site. They are all written for both new and experienced writes.

I hope that I can keep this up. I’ve been smoking from the age of about sixteen; I just don’t feel like myself without a cigg in my mouth. I think the worst part is not knowing what to do with my newly freed hand.
